Our Ministries

Our ministry programs are designed to honor Christ and to meet the practical needs of the diverse community that is New London County. We offer various ministries to the believers in our own congregation, but we are also active and organized to serve those in need in the community around us. Here are just a few:

We have an ongoing partnership with Safe Futures to provide volunteers and funding to meet the needs of individuals and families encountering situations of domestic violence. Contact Wilf Kalbach 860-885-8690.

Singles Ministry

The Singles Ministry involves and equips our single adult members in organized programs of spiritual development, relationship, outreach and service.

Our Campus Ministry is active at Three Rivers College to minister to Christian students and those who are seeking to know more about Christ.

Lifeline

Lifeline is our Church's ministry to service personnel and their families working at the U.S. Sub Base in New London. We provide ongoing spiritual and physical assistance, especially when family members are deployed.

Our Youth and Family Ministry strives to facilitate the growth and involvement of our teenagers and their families. 

Kids' Kingdom

Kids' Kingdom is our Children's Education Ministry. Through our Sunday and Wednesday night classes, we work to present our young people with the exciting and life-changing adventures learning about God.

Love in Action

Love in Action aims to serve those who are poor or hurting. In addition to assisting individuals, Love in Action helps us to develop partnerships with local charities that love, clothe and feed those in need.

International Mission Society

The international Mission Society (IMS) works to plant and strengthen new church plantings in Europe and New England. Each year we give a special contribution to help IMS (last year we gave over $57,000).

GNLCC Cultural Connections

The Cultural Connections Team (CCT) of the GNL Church will work to help our church recognize and appreciate the cultural differences in our community in order to strengthen the bonds of unity.  We will help the church to solidify areas of strength and to identify and address areas for growth.  We will develop and help to implement symbolic, conversational and structural changes that build unity and equity in the body of Christ.
